EXe-projektet utvecklade ett fritt tillgängligt Open Source-författarprogram för att hjälpa lärare och akademiker att publicera webbinnehåll utan behov av att bli kompetenta i HTML- eller XML-markering.Resurser som är författade i eXe kan exporteras i IMS-innehållspaket, SCORM 1.2 eller IMS Common Cartridge-format eller som enkla fristående webbsidor.
